Champlin Park Turf Field Nearing Finish
A new artificial turf surface installation is nearly finished at the Champlin Park High School stadium.
The Anoka-Hennepin School Board approved artificial turf at all five District 11 high schools 18 months ago.
The Field Turf surface will be the same one used at nearby Park Center, Osseo and Maple Grove High Schools.
The Champlin Park stadium has been a grass field since the school opened in the Fall of 1992.
Work began May 28th and is continuing for a four more weeks with completion expected by August 14th.
A turf practice field will be installed on the west side of the high school in either 2022 or 2023.
