Champlin Park Scores Big Boys Basketball Win
Champlin Park was undefeated until the state Class AAAA title game last season in boys basketball. Much of that team graduated and it’s a whole new squad this winter.
The Rebels started a little slow but are coming on strong. They avenged an earlier loss Monday night by beating Blaine 75-72 in a matchup of the top two teams in the North Division standings in the Northwest Suburban Conference.
Champlin Park now leads the division by two games after winning eight games in a row.
Bennett Otto had 25 points and Josiah Strong 23 to lead the Rebels.
