Champlin Park/Coon Rapids Girls Hockey Skates Past Osseo/Park Center

The Champlin Park/Coon Rapids girls hockey team continued its strong season with a 4-1 win over Osseo/Park Center Tuesday in Champlin.

The Bluebirds scored single goals in the first and second periods to take a 2-0 lead into the third.

Osseo/Park Center goalie Alli Olson helped keep her team in it, and the Stars’ Victoria Welch scored on a powerplay to pull her team within 2-1 with ten minutes remaining.

Champlin Park/Coon Rapids tacked on two more goals though to seal the win.

Tessa Boden had two goals and an assist for CPCR.

Olson saved 49 of 53 shots she faced for OPC.
