Champlin Park Boys Basketball Wins Thriller over Anoka
The Champlin Park boys basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak by rallying past rival Anoka for an 86-85 win Thursday.
The game was close most of the way before Anoka built an eleven point lead with about five minutes to play.
Champlin Park closed strong though, creating a few turnovers for easy baskets and then cashing in at the free throw line with clutch shooting.
Tyler Wagner poured in 40 points and Preston Thielke added 23 for the Rebels, who are now 6-2.
Peyton Podany had 30 to lead the Tornadoes, who dropped to 8-2.
