Champlin Park Boys Basketball Team Edges Wayzata
The Champlin Park boys basketball team edged Wayzata 68-62 Thursday.
Visiting Wayzata jumped out to a 13-4 lead before the Rebels settled in.
They went on a 9-0 run to take the lead, though Wayzata had a one-point lead at the half.
After the game was tied at 56-56, Champlin Park made key plays down the stretch to build a lead.
Bennett Otto had 24 points to lead the Rebels.
Jacob Johnson had 12, Jared Walter 11 and Kato Seley 10 for Champlin Park.
Camden Heide had 18 points to lead Wayzata.
