Champlin Park Boys Basketball Set for State Tournament
The Champlin Park boys basketball team survived a great challenge from Park Center to win the Section 5AAAA title in overtime.
The Rebels are set to continue the journey at the state tournament starting Wednesday.
Champlin Park is 21-0 and seeded first among the “northern” section teams for the Class AAAA tournament.
They will meet a familiar and nearby rival in the quarterfinals when they face Maple Grove Wednesday night.
That game is at Osseo High School at 7:00 p.m.
Champlin Park is aiming for its first state title in boys basketball after second place finishes in 2015 and 2017.
