Champlin Park Boys Basketball Set for Playoff Run
After a great regular season, the Champlin Park boys basketball team is set for a playoff run.
The Rebels finished 18-0 and ranked number one in the state class AAAA poll in the regular season.
It’s the third time in the past seven seasons that Champlin Park has finished undefeated in the regular season.
Those 18 wins didn’t come without some tough tests.
The Rebels won each of their last four games by six points or less, and they earlier had to rally to win in overtime against Park Center.
Champlin Park is the top seed for the Section 5AAAA tournament and they host Irondale Saturday in the quarterfinals.
This year because of COVID-19 section playoff games will be played in the home gym of the higher seeded team.
That means the Rebels will be at home for any section game they are in.
