Champlin Park Athletics Battles Through Quiet Spring

Instead of the sounds of track meets, baseball games, and tennis matches, it’s been pretty silent around the fields and courts at Champlin Park High School this spring.

The COVID-19 pandemic that brought the cancellation of all spring sports at Minnesota high schools means hundreds of athletes at one of the state’s largest schools have missed out on their seasons.

Champlin Park Activities Director Matt Mattson spoke to CCX Sports about the unusual spring and about plans for possible summer training for Rebels’ athletes.
