CCX Sports Spotlight: Pengxu Lor, Champlin Park Diving
In this week’s CCX Sports Spotlight, John Jacobson profiles Champlin Park diver Pengxu Lor.
The freshman is the favorite to win this weekend’s Minnesota State High School League diving title in Class AA, after finishing third last year.
Last weekend he shattered the Section 5AA record, topping 600 points for 11 dives.
At age 14, Pengxu has already competed five times in his age group at national competition.
Outside of his work in high school diving, he trains at the Minnesota Diving Academy and at the Podium Training Center at the University of Minnesota.
His goal is to one day compete in the Olympics.
