CCX Sports Spotlight: Nate Carr, Wayzata Swimming
In this week’s CCX Sports Spotlight, John Jacobson profiles Wayzata swimmer Nate Carr.
The junior is one of the top prep swimmers in the state having placed in the top three in both the 100 butterfly and the 100 backstroke at last year’s state meet.
Carr set a new Section 5AA record in the 100 butterfly last year and the Trojans are big favorites to win the section title again this weekend, likely sending several swimmers and divers on to next week’s state meet.
Nate is one of the Trojans’ captains this season and has already accepted an offer to swim at the University of Virginia. He plans on studying something in the engineering field in college.
