CCX Sports Spotlight: Maple Grove Baseball Trio
In this week’s CCX Sports Spotlight segment John Jacobson profiles Maple Grove baseball players Tanner Albeck, Hunter Gerber, and Sam Kliber.
The three seniors have played baseball together since age 9 and all three have signed to play college baseball at Minnesota-Duluth.
Albeck plays third base, Gerber first base and Kliber shortstop. Gerber and Kliber both pitch too.
In addition to baseball, all three players were also starters in football and part of the Crimson’s Class 6A state championship winning team last fall.
Maple Grove finished fourth in last year’s state baseball tournament.
