CCX Sports Spotlight: Maddie Larsen, Maple Grove Girls Tennis
The CCX Sports Spotlight shines this week on Maple Grove girls tennis standout Maddie Larsen. Jay Wilcox profiles the senior, who is wrapping up her sixth varsity season for the Crimson.
She helped Maple Grove to the Section 5AA team this week with a 5-2 win over Wayzata.
Larsen is ranked tenth in singles and played number one singles all season, but will team up with Summer Ode to play doubles in the Section 5AA individual tournament.
Maddie’s younger sister Millie, a freshman, is also a key contributor in doubles for the fourth-ranked Crimson.
The Section 5AA singles and doubles tournament is Monday and Tuesday at Inner City Tennis in Minneapolis.
