CCX Sports Spotlight: Jayden Moore – Hopkins Boys Basketball
In this week’s CCX Sports Spotlight, Chaz Mootz profiles Hopkins boys basketball senior point guard Jayden Moore.
Last week, Moore broke the Minnesota boys basketball high school all-time assist record when he notched his 1,275th career assist. The record was previously held by Ely’s Mark Heiman.
Moore has been playing on varsity for the Royals since seventh grade. This season he also passed the 2,000 career point milestone. Moore also has over 1,000 career rebounds and over 400 career steals.
In addition to hoops, Moore was also a star wide receiver on the Hopkins football team the past two years.
Earlier in the month, Moore was named a McDonald’s All-American nominee – the only Minnesota high school boys basketball player to be named a nominee.
After graduating from Hopkins, Moore will continue his basketball career at the University of North Dakota.
