CCX Sports Spotlight: Jacob Meissner, Osseo Wrestling
Our CCX Sports Spotlight focuses on Osseo wrestling standout Jacob Meissner.
The junior has just one loss this season after placing fourth in the state Class AAA tournament at 170 pounds last season.
Though he’s been ranked in the top ten all season at 195 pounds, Meissner has elected to compete in the 220 pound class in the postseason.
Jacob attends Maranatha Christian Academy and wrestles as part of MCA’s co-op with Osseo.
He also plays football in the co-op with Providence Academy.
Meissner and his good friend and practice partner Jagger Schack are each hoping to move up from fourth place last season to winning titles this year.
The Section 5AAA individual competition is Wednesday at St. Michael-Albertville and wrapping up with the new “super section/state prelim” Saturday at STMA.
