CCX Sports Spotlight: Connor Peterson, Maple Grove Wrestling
Our CCX Sports Spotlight shines on standout wrestler Connor Peterson of Maple Grove.
Jay Wilcox profiles the senior, who is ranked number one in the state at 139 pounds in class AAA and enters the postseason with a 44-0 mark this season.
Peterson became Maple Grove’s all-time leader in wins this season and surpassed 200 career victories. He is 213-32 for his career entering Friday night.
He will be shooting for his sixth straight state tournament appearance when he competes in the Section 5AAA individual tournament February 21st.
Peterson will wrestle at the Division I level next season at Kent State University in Ohio.
He hopes to go to medical school in the future.
