Brooklyn Center Football Homecoming Game Canceled
The Brooklyn Center High School football homecoming game scheduled for Saturday night has been canceled.
The Centaurs’ scheduled opponent, Minneapolis Roosevelt, informed athletic officials at Brooklyn Center earlier this week that they were “unable to safely field a varsity team” for Saturday.
Brooklyn Center was unable to find another school with an open date this week.
The Centaurs (3-1) play at Columbia Heights next Friday.
The Brooklyn Center varsity soccer teams will play at home tomorrow with the girls facing Richfield at 11:00 am and the boys playing Heritage Christian Academy at 1:00 pm.
In addition there will be food trucks at the school and live music between games and during breaks and the nearby athletic courts will also be open for use.
