Breck Girls Tennis Falls at Home on Senior Day to Wayzata

The Wayzata girls tennis team went on the road and defeated Breck on the Mustangs’ Senior Day by a score of 6-1.

Breck’s lone win on the day came from Abbey Perry, who beat Joy Zhou in first singles 4-6, 6-2, 10-6.

The Trojans won the rest of the singles matches with Zhaoyi Zhong defeating Emmy Lou in second singles 6-0, 6-2. In third singles Avika Hasti beat Autumn Lin 6-3, 7-6, 10-3, and Shriya Singh knocked off Mary Knoll in fourth singles 6-0, 6-0.

The Trojans also swept doubles with Kate Walbourn and Nikole Nazarevych winning first doubles over Addie Berman and Julia Zucchi 6-2, 6-0; Saanvi Byrapuneni and Morgan Berge won second doubles against Emma Zucchi and Caroline Kuhn 6-3, 6-1, and Abby Graber and Nika Sale took care of third doubles, defeating Ella Hornig and Catherine Walker of Breck 6-1, 6-0.
