Breck Girls Lacrosse Edges BSM
The Breck girls lacrosse team edged Benilde-St. Margaret’s 11-10 in overtime Thursday.
The game was a back-and-forth thriller all night.
Benilde scored four of the first five goals, only to see Breck net three straight to tie the game 4-4 at halftime.
After a Breck goal to start the second half, the Red Knights scored three straight to go up 7-5.
Breck netted the next four, only to see BSM get the next three for a late 10-9 lead.
Breck’s Natalie Ott scored her fifth goal of the night to tie the game 10-10 with 17 seconds left.
Eloise Cherian scored the game winner in overtime to secure the win for Breck.
The Mustangs are now 8-1, with their only loss to top-ranked Eden Prairie.
