Boys Volleyball Thriving One Year Before Full Varsity Status
Cooper is one of many local schools in the northwest suburbs where boys volleyball is thriving this spring. Boys volleyball is an “emerging sport” this season before gaining full varsity status next spring from the Minnesota State High School League.
82 teams are competing across the state this spring, and most schools we cover at CCX are fielding teams. Cooper is part of the 11-team Northwest Conference, which also includes local teams Armstrong, Maple Grove, Osseo, Prairie Seeds, and Wayzata.
The regular season started last week and runs through the end of May, with the state tournament set for June 12-13 at Shakopee High School.
