Boys Volleyball Players Excited to Gain Varsity Status
After a near miss a year ago, boys volleyball was approved as a full varsity sport starting in the 2024-’25 school year by a representative assembly vote of the Minnesota State High School League.
Players on the Osseo’s team, which currently operates as a club team like others in the state, were excited to hear the news.
Boys volleyball is thriving at Osseo and neighboring schools.
Park Center, Maple Grove, Armstrong, Cooper, Wayzata, Champlin Park and Prairie Seeds also currently have teams in the Minnesota boys high school league.
It’s still to be determined if the sport will be conducted in the spring as it is now.
