Boys Volleyball Approved as Varsity Sport by MSHSL
Boys volleyball has been approved as a full varsity sport by the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL).
A representative assembly measure to sanction boys volleyball was approved Tuesday after failing by one vote last year.
Boys volleyball will become a varsity sport for the 2024-25 school year. Many high schools in the northwest suburbs currently have club teams playing boys volleyball.
Minnesota becomes the 25th state to sanction boys volleyball.
The sport is currently played in the spring but further study will be done to determine the best time to hold the boys volleyball season.
