Benilde-St. Margaret’s Softball Edges St. Anthony in Season Opener
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s softball team rallied for a 5-4 win over St. Anthony in an exciting season opener for both teams.

The Huskies added two more runs in the fourth on a two-run single by Anaya Boseman.
The Red Knights responded with a mix of small ball and power hitting to score four runs in the bottom of the fifth to grab a 4-3 lead.
A bunt and error scored the first run, followed by a throwing error by the pitcher and rundown play that saw two runs scored.
Maggie Wozniak’s solo homer capped the inning to give BSM the lead.
The Huskies came right back to tie it 4-4 in the sixth on a RBI single by Violet Kachman.
Benilde used its last at-bat to secure the win.
After Grace Bendickson reached second base on a throwing error, Ellie Porisch dropped down a bunt.
When the Huskies threw to first, Bendickson raced around from second to score the winning run.
