Benilde-St. Margaret’s Softball Advances in Section 6AAA Play
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s softball team fell behind 4-0 but rallied for a 7-5 win over Mound-Westonka in the second round of the Section 6AAA tournament.
The Whitehawks scored four runs in the top of the third to take a 4-0 lead before BSM answered with two runs in the bottom half of the third.
After scoring once in the fourth, the Red Knights surged ahead with a four-run fifth inning, keyed by Ellie Porisch’s two-run triple.
The win moved the Red Knights into Wednesday’s winner’s bracket final against Orono.
The winner of that game advances to the championship round.
