Benilde-St. Margaret’s Headed Back to State Girls Basketball Tournament
Olivia Olson scored 40 points to lead the Benilde-St. Margaret’s girls basketball team to an 83-64 win over Delano in the Section 6AAA championship game.
The Red Knights (24-5) won their 19th straight game to advance to the state tournament for a third straight year.
Sydney Friedly added 14 points and Zahara Bishop 10 for B-SM.
Abbie Pietila netted 24 to lead Delano. The Tigers finished the season with a 27-2 record.
The Red Knights find out on Saturday their quarterfinal round opponent for the state tournament which begins Wednesday morning at Maturi Pavilion in Minneapolis.
