Benilde-St. Margaret’s Girls Lacrosse Edges Eden Prairie
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s girls lacrosse team edged Eden Prairie 12-11 Tuesday night in a meeting of top-ten teams.
The Red Knights (1-0) are fourth in the state’s pre-season rankings; the Eagles are ranked sixth.
Maddie Kaltsas scored five goals and Mary Zavoral added three. Tilly Wolfe and Maggie Graczyk each scored twice.
The Red Knights built leads of 5-1 and 12-8 but the Eagles kept the game close, scoring the game’s final three goals and having the potential tying goal waved off late in the game.
Benilde-St. Margaret’s hosts St. Louis Park in the team’s Metro West Conference opener Thursday night.
