Benilde-St. Margaret’s Girls Basketball Wins Section 6AAA Title
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s girls basketball team won its second straight Section 6AAA title with a 71-47 win over Holy Angels Thursday night.
Red Knights’ guard Olivia Olson, a University of Michigan commit, scored 32 points to lead B-SM in scoring.
Sierre Lumpkin added 11 points and Zahara Bishop 10 for the Red Knights who improved to 23-6 on the season.
B-SM is ranked second in the state in Class 3A. Teams will be seeded for the state tournament on Saturday.
The Class AAA tournament starts Wednesday morning at Maturi Pavilion at the University of Minnesota.
