Benilde-St. Margaret’s Girls Basketball Repeats as Class AAA State Champions
For a second consecutive year, the Benilde-St. Margaret’s girls basketball team finished their season as Class AAA state champions.
The Red Knights defeated DeLaSalle in the championship game 81-58.
B-SM used a 15-0 run in the second half, where they held the Islanders scoreless for seven and a half minutes to propel them to the victory.
Olivia Olson led the way for the Red Knights with 30 points and 15 rebounds. Three other Red Knights scored in double-figures with Pressley Watkins scoring 23 points and Sydney Friedly and Zahara Bishop both adding 21.
B-SM finishes its season with a 27-5 record.
