Benilde-St. Margaret’s Girls Basketball Falls to Chaska
Kennedy Sanders scored a game-high 42 points to lead the Chaska girls basketball team to a 93-85 win over Benilde-St. Margaret’s Tuesday night.
The Red Knights are the top-ranked team in Class 3A while Chaska is ranked third in Class 4A.
Olivia Olson netted 36 points and Kendall McGee 20 for the Red Knights who dropped to 7-3 on the season.
The Hawks (10-1) led 42-39 at halftime and expanded their lead to nine in the second half only to see the Red Knights tie the game at 77 with under five minutes to play.
Chaska then outscored B-SM 15-6 over the game’s final 4:42 to secure the win.
The teams play again February 2nd at Chaska.
