Benilde-St. Margaret’s Girls Basketball Dominates in Season Opener
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s girls basketball team jumped out to a 23-1 lead on the way to a 93-35 win over Chisago Lakes in their season opener Thursday.
The Red Knights’ lead was 66-9 at halftime.
Michigan recruit Olivia Olson, one of the nation’s top juniors, had 22 points to lead Benilde.
Kendall McGee added 20 for the Red Knights.
The competition gets much tougher Friday when BSM meets defending class AAAA champion Hopkins at the Breakdown Tipoff Classic.
Benilde-St. Margaret’s is ranked second in class AAA, while Hopkins is number one in class AAAA.
