Benilde-St. Margaret’s Falls to Orono in 6AAA Boys Basketball Final
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s boys basketball team lost its third straight Section 6AAA championship game to Orono, falling 76-55.
The Spartans led most of the game and were up 35-26 at halftime.
Orono senior guard Nolan Groves- headed to Yale next year- scored 34 points to lead the Spartans in scoring. Brady Wooley added 13 and Mitchell Kauch 12.
TJ Stuttley scored 21 points and Jalen Wilson 15 for the Red Knights, who finished their season with a 26-3 record.
Orono is now 22-7 and begins play in the state AAA tournament on Tuesday.
