Benilde-St. Margaret’s Boys Lacrosse Beats Stillwater in State Semifinals
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s boys lacrosse team survived a tough test to beat Stillwater 15-10 in the state semifinals.
The Red Knights remained unbeaten this season, improving to 18-0 with the win.
Benilde had a 6-5 lead after a wild back-and-forth first quarter.
Stillwater played a strong second quarter to take an 8-7 lead into halftime.
Benilde battled back and took the lead for good late in the third, leading 11-10 after three quarters.
The Red Knights closed strong, scoring the only goals of the fourth to pull away for the win.
BSM is the defending state champion.
They will face Prior Lake in the final Saturday night for the fourth straight state tournament.
