Benilde-St. Margaret’s Boys Basketball Gets Big Win over Waconia
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s boys basketball team earned a big Metro West Conference win over Waconia on Friday night, winning by a score of 70-64.
The Red Knights and Wildcats went back-and-forth for most of the game. BSM went on an 8-0 run sparked by a Ron Lee three-pointer with four minutes left in the game that broke a 52-52 tie.
The Red Knights took care of the basketball and made free throws down the stretch to earn the six-point win.
Jayden Daisy led the way for the Red Knights with 22 points. Jaleel Donley and Jalen Wilson each added 16 points.
Waconia’s Jackson Hayes scored a game-high 31 points. Benilde-St. Margaret’s is now 8-7 overall, but 4-0 in the Metro West Conference.
