Benilde-St. Margaret’s Boys Basketball Beats Jefferson
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s boys basketball team continued an outstanding season with a 76-58 win over Bloomington Jefferson.
The Red Knights bolted out to a 12-0 lead to start the game, but the Jaguars battled back and trailed by just two at halftime.
It stayed close for a while into the second half before BSM pulled away to secure the win.
Jalen Wilson had 23 points and Christian Wiggins 16 to lead Benilde.
One of the state’s best juniors, Daniel Freitag, had 28 for Jefferson.
Benilde is ranked second in the state in class AAA.
The Red Knights improved to 16-3 overall and a league-best 7-1 in the Metro West Conference.
