Armstrong Softball Holds Off Cooper
The Armstrong softball team built a big early lead and then held off Cooper for a 9-8 win.
The annual Robbinsdale rivalry matchup produced many twists and turns.
Armstrong scored four runs in the top of the first, keyed by a Kelly O’Keefe triple.
After falling behind 6-1, Cooper scored four in the third to pull within 6-4.
Armstrong put two on the board in the top of the seventh, and needed those runs.
Cooper scored three times in the bottom of the seventh before the Falcons got the final out.
