Armstrong Football Wins 2OT Instant Classic Shootout Over Andover
The Armstrong football team finished the regular season unbeaten at 8-0 with a high-scoring thriller of a win over Andover, 57-56.
The Falcons and Huskies combined for 113 points, 16 touchdowns, and over 1,000 total yards.
Armstrong senior running back Kevon Johnson carried the ball 34 times for 309 yards and five touchdowns.
The Falcons converted four of their touchdowns on fourth down.
Johnson’s touchdown run from three yards out in double overtime tied the game at 56 and Noah Miller’s extra point gave the Falcons the win.
Armstrong earned the #1 seed in the Section 5AAAAA bracket and will play the winner of #4 St. Louis Park and #5 Minneapolis Southwest.
