Armstrong Football Knocked Out of Playoffs at Buffalo
Buffalo quarterback Grant Benson rushed for three touchdowns as the Bison ended Armstrong’s season in the Section 6AAAAA semifinals with a 22-7 win.
After an early Benson touchdown run put Buffalo ahead, the Falcons took the lead in the second quarter on a Ben Francis rushing touchdown. Armstrong forced two turnovers before halftime to lead 7-6 at the half.
The Bison turned the game early in the third quarter, recovering and returning a Falcons fumble deep into Armstrong territory. Benson then capitalized by scoring his second touchdown on the ensuing drive.
The Bison tacked on 10 more points in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
Buffalo now plays Spring Lake Park Friday for the section title.
Armstrong finishes the season 5-5.
