Armstrong Football Edges Rival Cooper
The Armstrong football team beat district rival Cooper 31-28 Friday for the Falcons’ seventh straight win in the series.
Gabe Hall ran for two touchdowns and threw for another to help give the Falcons a 31-14 lead midway through the fourth quarter.
The Hawks pulled within three points late on touchdown runs by Beckham Van Voorst and Amari Davison but fell three points short.
Quarterback Van Voorst threw for one touchdown and ran for two more for Cooper (2-5).
The Falcons (4-3) and the Hawks wrap up the regular season on Wednesday night.
