Armstrong Football Coach Jack Negen Returns to Field After Health Scare
Armstrong head football coach Jack Negen is leading summer workouts after an offseason health scare.
Negen had a heart attack in January, leading to triple bypass surgery in early April.
The 52-year-old said he’d had no symptoms or warning that he might be in trouble.
He had to miss the remainder of the school year, but got full clearance to resume coaching in June.
Negen says he’s lost 50 pounds and that the scare made him realize how much he loves teaching and coaching.
