Armstrong Baseball Edges Andover in Northwest Suburban Opener
The Armstrong baseball team edged Andover 6-5 in their Northwest Suburban Conference opener.
Freshman Dayton Franke was 2-2 with two runs batted in, including a solo homerun, for Armstrong. He reached base all four times he batted.
Noah Weisjahn hit an RBI double and walked twice for the Falcons.
Christian Mundt pitched the first five innings to earn the win for Armstrong, giving up four runs.
Nick Hubbard pitched the last two innings for the save.
Armstrong evened its overall record to 1-1.
