Woman Critically Injured in Plymouth Shooting
Charges are pending in a Plymouth shooting case in which a woman was critically injured.
Plymouth police initially responded at about 7:20 p.m. Friday to a report of a shooting at a residential home in the 14300 block of 40th Place North. When officers arrived, they found a 23-year-old woman with an apparent gunshot wound.
Officers provided first aid before the woman was rushed to North Memorial Health Hospital. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was last listed in critical condition. A condition update was not available Monday.
Shortly after the shooting, police identified a “person of interest” in the case. That individual, a 26-year-old Plymouth man, was arrested shortly before 10 p.m. Friday in Clark County, Wis., about two and a half hours away. The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted in the arrest.
The Plymouth man remained in the Clark County Jail over the weekend awaiting extradition back to Minnesota.
