Under Pressure Brewing Celebrates 6th ‘Beerthday’
Under Pressure Brewing in Golden Valley is a true survivor in an industry that has taken a hit in recent years due to rising costs.
“It’s a struggle everyday, but doggone it, here we are, and we’re going to party,” said John Keenan, co-owner of Under Pressure Brewing.
This weekend, the brewery is celebrating its sixth “beerthday.” The Golden Valley brewery is rolling out all its favorites, including a barrel-aged blueberry cream stout and a Russian imperial-style stout.
Other favorites include a scorpion pepper cranberry ale and a lemon lavender light ale that won an award this summer.
“The variety makes a huge difference,” said Keenan. “We have one regular that says ‘if you can’t find a beer you like, you don’t like beer.'”
There will be live music Friday and Saturday with a Texas barbecue food truck on site. On Sunday, Groundhog Day, there will be an art and makers market with 20 different crafters and artists selling their wares.
Details on this weekend’s events can be found on Under Pressure Brewing’s Facebook page.
