Three Finalists Named for Crystal City Manager
There are three finalists for the position of Crystal city manager.
On Tuesday night, the Crystal city council narrowed down a pool of applicants to four finalists. One finalist withdrew from consideration, leaving three finalists that will be interviewed by the city council on Nov. 16.
The city council chose the four finalists after an independent consultant named Mark Casey narrowed down the applications from 39 to 14.
The final applicants include:
- Adam Bell is currently the city administrator for the City of Bayport, Minn. Bell has been with Bayport for six years, after working in the city of Lake Elmo.
- Aaron Kooiker is currently city administrator for the City of Fairfield, Iowa. Kooiker has been with Fairfield for five years, after working in the city of Hull, Iowa. He was a police officer for 11 years in West Des Moines.
- Mark Ray is currently the director of public works and city engineer for the City of Crystal. He’s been with the city for seven years, after working in Golden Valley.
Crystal’s long-time city manager Anne Norris retired on Oct. 28 after serving as city manager for 22 years and serving the city of Crystal for 31 years.
