Third Candidate Announces Run for Late Rep. Hortman’s House Seat
A third candidate has announced a run for the Minnesota House seat held by the late state Rep. Melissa Hortman.
Erickson Saye announced on social media this week that he’s launched a campaign for the Minnesota House District 34B seat.
Saye wrote on his website that he was raised in the northwest suburbs in a proud Liberian-American household.
His resume includes working for the DFL Party to help increase voter turnout, serving as the public engagement liaison for Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and working as a prosecutor for Hennepin County.
The other candidates in the race include current Brooklyn Park City Council Member Christian Eriksen and former Council Member XP Lee. All of them are DFL candidates.
