Teachers Connect with Local Businesses
TwinWest Chamber of Commerce set up a symposium for about 30 teachers to learn about trends and topics in today’s workplace. The educators toured businesses and learned more about industry trends.
At the “Welcome Kickoff” Monday in St. Louis Park, educators connected with the business world to learn what jobs will be a good fit for their students.
It’s an example of business and education coming together to shape the future job pipeline.
“They’re able to go back to their classrooms and say this is relevant for your future,” said Mandy Janssen of the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce which sponsored the symposium. “This is relevant for the pathway you’re choosing and this is why.”
Close to 30 teachers, including some from the Northwest suburbs, were at the event.
