Snapology Celebrates Grand Opening in Plymouth
A new business in Plymouth aims to teach kids problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Snapology, described as “an enrichment classroom for children,” celebrated its grand opening on Thursday.
Snapology is located inside Urban Air Trampoline & Adventure Park. The business says it works to teach a variety of STEAM skills using everything from LEGO blocks to Minecraft games to lessons with slime. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics.
“We teach all of those within our room,” said Kiersten Holman, director of the Snapology in Plymouth. “We get to use all sorts of mediums to do that. And the main one, and the most exciting one, are LEGOs.”
Holman said the primary focus for Snapology is kids ages 6 to 14, but the business is also working to open up a preschool that provides lessons for kids as young as 2. In addition to summer half-day camps, Snapology plans to specialize in after-school programing in the fall.
“Not once have we had a kid bored. In fact, they love coming and hate leaving, and that”s my goal,” said Holman.
