Robbinsdale Addresses Census Worker Access
Robbinsdale is the latest city to address providing access to apartment buildings for census workers. The city ordinance would strengthen a federal law which already makes it illegal to prevent census workers from accessing rental properties. The ordinance would require property owners to allow census workers access to their properties for the purpose of conducting census surveys.
The city council passed the first reading of the ordinance this week. Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, and Plymouth have already passed similar ordinances.
