Redmon’s Offers Pink Popcorn for ‘Barbie’ Premiere
The new “Barbie” movie opens in theaters this week, and a local entrepreneur is supplying pink popcorn to folks attending the local premiere.
Officials from the local Warner Brothers office contacted Zack Redmon, who owns Redmon’s Popcorn in New Hope, and asked if he could create a custom pink popcorn flavor for people attending a special screening of the “Barbie” movie this week.
He accommodated their request by making a cookies-and-cream flavored popcorn, colored in ‘Barbie Pink,’ with little specks of edible gold glitter.
“They kinda just gave me, kind of an idea — just make us something pink,” Redmon said. “So I said, alright, and I kind of took it to that next level and do what I always do. I feel like I came through, and hopefully they like it a lot too.”
Redmon says a limited amount of the ‘Barbie Pink’ popcorn will be available for customers to purchase this week.
You can find the Redmon’s Popcorn stand inside the New Hope Cinema Grill, near the intersection of Winnetka Avenue and Medicine Lake Road.
