Police: Shots Fired at AutoZone Employee
Brooklyn Park police say they are searching for a person who fired multiple gunshots outside an AutoZone store Monday night before running from the scene.
An employee was taken out the garbage when shots suddenly were fired in the direction of the worker, police said. Fortunately, the worker was not hit.
According to Brooklyn Park police, the shooting happened just after 9 p.m. at the AutoZone located in the 7700 block of Brooklyn Boulevard.
Police said about five to six gunshots were fired in the employee’s direction. The shooter was seen leaving the area on foot.
Immediately after the shooting, officers conducted a search for a suspect using a drone, Minnesota State Patrol helicopter and a Brooklyn Park K-9 unit. The shooter, however, was not located.
As of Tuesday afternoon, police continued to investigate.
