Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Brooklyn Park
Brooklyn Park police are investigating a crash in which a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian Sunday evening.
Police responded just after 6 p.m. Sunday to the area of West Broadway Avenue and Candlewood Drive.
First responders found the pedestrian who was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, according to an alert sent out by Brooklyn Park police.
It remains unclear what caused the pedestrian to be struck.
As of Monday morning, the name of the person killed had not yet been released.
Brooklyn Park police say the Minnesota State Patrol and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office are assisting with the investigation.
