Osseo Wants to Hire More Firefighters
The City of Osseo is looking for a few good firefighters.
The Osseo Fire Department currently has 21 firefighters, but they have room for up to 30 on staff.
It’s an on-call position that requires you to be at least 18 years old and live or work within seven minutes of the fire station.
Interested candidates have to pass a background check and physical ability test.
“It’s really just about people helping their neighbors is how we think about it,” said Osseo Fire Chief Mike Phenow. “If a neighbor called for help, you’d want to run out to their aid, and joining the fire department really just allows you to be trained and equipped to really make an impact.”
The city is accepting applications through Aug. 13.
